Tamer Group improves customer service and makes staff more efficient with Oracle E-Business Suite

Tamer Group is a leading healthcare, prestige products, and fast moving consumer goods company responding to the growing needs of the Saudi and Middle East communities. The Group’s core activities are import, distribution, promotion, marketing and manufacturing.

To support its various industry lines, Tamer Group implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to consolidate and centralize data, which particularly benefited staff through more effective human capital management. It also improved group finances though greater visibility of the value chain and inventory. The deployment of Oracle E-Business Suite’s Oracle Supply Chain Management, Oracle Order Management, Oracle Warehouse Management and Oracle Self-Service Human Resources provided management with real-time data intelligence. In addition, it decreased product delivery time from 48 hours to 24 hours, and accelerated payroll processing by 50%.

Tamer Group used a phased deployment approach, first tackling value chain and human resources, followed by business intelligence and talent management. Oracle and its partners succeeded with full-cycle testing and pilot runs leading to a stable switch-off and switch-on go-live in January 2011, completing the three year project. Tamer Group adopted a train-the-trainers strategy, providing training materials and test cases, and training end-users across eight regions.
